I came to art in my late thirties. Now I'm on a mission to live as creatively as possible.
My latest art project is to create 10,000 sketches for my Instagram art project (@10000sketches). I estimate that this project will take about 10 years.
When I'm not sketching, I work at the South Pole in Antarctica for 4 months of the year.
The rest of the time I work in an office planning the next season for South Pole and mentally working up new colorful canvases that I spend most of my free time working on.
I live in Denver, Colorado and work out of a super tiny studio, also called my enclosed back porch. I think while on my SUP board and spend a lot of time behind a camera to create my own perspective on the world.
Rex Ray, Clyfford Still and Lisa Congdon are some of my artistic heroes. Their riotous use of color, lines and space give me something to aspire to and inform my aesthetic.
